Self Love & Human Design

ree

Why is it when we are asked about our not so great qualities, they are so easy to list whereas when asking about your good qualities it is so much harder?

I am currently doing a course on Human Design through DayLuna (Kiss Your 9-5 Goodbye) - I would highly recommend it! They have a website, podcast and a book! So if you are curious about Human Design - you should check them out.

I am doing this course and each week we have journal prompts. This week the one question was to list 5 things you know you're good at. It felt so challenging to answer (I'm currently only at 4). I noticed I started to dissect whatever I thought of. For example, I'm good at cleaning - but I struggle to do it regularly or have a routine around it - so maybe I'm not so great at it. Or I'm a good mom - but, I get frustrated every so often with my baby or I'm not sure that I'm giving him enough of the right stimulation. It's like I think of things and then start questioning them or nitpicking them apart to highlight the not so great areas and disprove the "good quality". Whereas when it's something I'm not doing so well in - it's easy to state what it is and it just goes there and I don't try to dissect it and disprove it. For example, I don't have a good cleaning routine. Like that's the beginning and end of it. There's no "but, when I do clean I do a great job".

By doing this course through DayLuna, on my human design, I have learned so much and it's really centred around listening to yourself, loving yourself and trusting yourself. Evidently, this week's journal prompts have highlighted the fact that I have more work to do on the self-love part; however, I know I have come a long ways since the beginning of this program.

Through learning about Human Design from DayLuna it's all about self-acceptance of who you truly are. That we each have gifts and the combination of the gifts make us all unique and how we choose to work towards the our goals defines us. Learning about Human Design can provide validation as everyone's energy works slightly differently as well as showcase opportunities for self-improvement as there is a high and low expression of one's design. If you would like to know more about Human Design in general or your specific human design - I recommend going over to DayLuna's website, podcast or Instagram (they are experts on this topic).

There are many ways to work on self-love and self-improvement - Human Design is just one of those ways. So feel free to explore it as well as any other avenues to help with improving your self-love! I would love to hear which ways you use to help improve your self-love.
